Unfortunately a few UFC vets on a card will not make a huge show. Its not the first time an organization has had ufc vets on a card. I do love watchin Neer fight but he will kill whoever he has to fight. Jus like when he fought that Pride vet in Greensparks very last show.

'A Couple UFC Vets?' Neer was almost a contender for the belt, except for getting matched with lay and pray fighters, and Hermes Franca actually fought for the Lightweight UFC WORLD TITLE. Not to mention MCC Brought him in as a special guest, however maxfights brings him in to fight for their belt! Also, against a tough opponent who's never been finished! This show will be the biggest thing to happen in MMA in Iowa thus far in my opinion. I would rather just as a true mma fan go watch a guy who fought for the ufc belt, over watching someone who has a horrible losing record for a belt. maxfights is stepping up their game, not to mention bringing back NEER???!!! This show is raising the bar for MMA in Iowa let alone Des Moines. I'm buying my plane tickets this week, and I have a feeling I'm not the only one that will be traveling to this event. Neer AND Franca BOTH on the same card! WOW is all I can say!

Hermes is a beast for sure. If Neer were fighting Franca, now that would be raising the bar! MCC never brought in Franca, actually he was just in town visiting Stephens. I think Neer is fighting Delanoit, now Langmaid be honest and say how much of a chance Delanoit has of winnin that fight? Now Franca is fighting a stud but no one really knows of him except us who hear of all the good guys in midwest. There's room for two organizations in town. One is creating there own ufc vets and the other is bringing them in! Nothin wrong with either but both u would hav to say are raising the bar!

Question is, if both Neer and Franca lose their fights, hypothetically speaking, what does that do for their careers? It would take Neer out of the big show for sure, I bet, and for Franca? I dunno, big step down for them to come back to the smaller show in my opinion, IF they get beat. That's a lot of weight and stress to put on yourself. As a MMA fan however, I think that's pretty cool to bring back a couple big names. I've watched Neer fight before, but I haven't seen Franca fight in person, so yeah, that's exciting for DSM!

We went, Neers fight was awesome, he beat the brakes off Delanoit, then gave a great interview haha! It was also great how that whole place went crazy when Neer walked out, he is definatly the most loved fighter in dsm with good reason! Franca and wiselys fight was good, with a totally unexpected ending (franca getting ko'd), so most likely you will be seeing wisely in the big show very soon! my favorite fight of the night was a little short white kid and a tall skinny dark skinned kid went 3 rounds (i think) just brawling the little guy got kneed hard in the face like 20 times and never took a step back, just kept coming fwd and brawling! Then i dont remember how it got to the ground but he ended up winning by triangle and also won the planti watch, kid has HEART! Corys fight was good went to a decision, just went back and forth standing up the whole time (his opponent came in on like an hour or less notice i think, so props to that kid). The girl fight was rescheduled due to paperwork issue (which i could care less about, i hate watching girl fights unless they are like Carano and Cyborgs level, other then that its usually not too entertaining). Some of the other fights were quick but they were good fights all around i thought. I liked the fact there were some new faces in there, i get sick of 6 of the same guys in every single show, that gets boring to me.(I did about 80,000,0000 things in my 4 days back in iowa so i dont remember all the details of the other fights). I'll definatly be attending the next maxfights!

Yeah i heard that fight I think it was with RJ Harris was good 3 rounder. Well tonight you'll get 8 PRO fights and 12 total fights altogether.... There is some really good matchups on the MCC card and who knows a win for TJ, Paul Bird or Zo DIddy and one or two of those guys could be off to the next big show. You're not gonna get an action packed card of up and comers like this anywhere around the Des Moines area! MCC's last 4 champions have moved on to bigger shows (MW champ Zak Cummings- Strikcforce, WW champ Bobby Voelker- Strikeforce, LW champ Joe Brammer- UFC, and FW champ Eric Marriott- Bellator)
