Personally I think Ronnie Brit can teach anyone a thing or 2. I would definitely like to check his class out.

november 3rd is the start up date for the next 8 week submission course. call martial arts america at 515 367 2037 for more info, i believe the cost is now 60 a mnth. there is no intimidation, no pain, just submission lessons and lots of laughs and fun.

the intermediate course will be announced soon and will have live grappling, light mma sparring and conditioning.

i had been asked to explain the classes.

the 8 week course is designed to familiarize anyone, beginners to profighters, with the intricacies of submissions, escapes, sweeps, reversals, defenses and the strategy entailed to use these techniques. i go into detail and the strategy to implement each technique, but i do it in such a way to simplify it as well. each course is set up to chain these techniques one right after the other. but most of all, the idea is to have FUN! in this 8 week course, there is no live grappling, no real exertion of force, but there is a bit of conditioning drills. we do some drilling and discussion until the end of the course in which participants can grapple a bit at the end. this class is a great precursor to the intermediate class.

the intermediate class is live grappling, some boxing, kickboxing with takedowns, padwork and some conditioning. again, the idea is to have FUN and the atmosphere is light and non intimidating. If you are preparing for a fight, this class would be a great supplement, but the fighter would need to continue with other hard training in addtion to this class.the training would provide a fighter the chance to work technique without the threat of injury. the contact is kept at a low key level, but we will work hard to better ourselves and our training partners. those that are just interested in learning about MMA and what goes into it will enjoy this class. those that want to refine their skills and work on conditioning and technique will also benefit. those that are unsure and too intimidated to start at a 'hardcore gym' will love this class. all levels of abilities will gain from this class whether you are just starting or a grizzled vet.
